Conny Roggeband is Associate Professor in public policy and governance at the University of Amsterdam. She has written on the politicization of gender-based violence, anti-Istanbul Convention mobilization, and the implications of democratic backsliding for gender equality policies in Central and Eastern Europe and Latin America. Her recent publications include: Politicizing Gender and Democracy in the Context of the Istanbul Convention (co-authored with Andrea Krizsan, Palgrave Macmillan 2021), The Gender Politics of Domestic Violence.
